The variety belongs to the pelargonium crop, designated in documentation as Pelargonium ×hortorum or a hybrid of Pelargonium ×hortorum × P. peltatum. In commercial trade, the variety is presented under the trade name Fidelity L Dark Red.
Compared to the analogue variety "Amri Dered", the variety "Zonadared" is characterized by a shorter length of the peduncle and pedicel. The intensity of anthocyanin coloration on the peduncle is assessed as very weak; there are also insignificant differences in the coloration of the upper petal.
