The variety is a perennial herbaceous plant with a rhizome system, reaching a height of 70–85 cm. A characteristic feature is the dark purple, almost black leaves that retain their color throughout the season. The plant is semi-evergreen and forms a dense bush with upright, sturdy stems that prevent lodging.
Flowering occurs in early to mid-summer and lasts about four weeks. The flowers are tubular and have a soft lavender or pink hue, positioned on dark purple flower stalks. The variety exhibits drought and heat tolerance, preferring sunny sites with well-drained soils, while being susceptible to root rot in waterlogged areas.
The right is granted for a limited term: propagation of the variety requires a license from the rights holder.
