The plant forms dense bushes 90–100 cm or 45–60 cm tall, depending on conditions, with a width of 35–50 cm. Large bell-shaped flowers bloom from mid-summer to autumn. The variety is a hybrid, although its classification as Penstemon hartwegii is not confirmed in authoritative sources.
The variety is resistant to powdery mildew and drought once established, preferring full sun and well-drained soils. The plant belongs to hardiness zones 6–9. The crop attracts pollinators such as bumblebees and hummingbirds and is suitable for cut flowers.
