The plant is a compact, well-branched shrub with narrow, glossy, dark green leaves, reaching a height of 38 to 56 cm. It has several growth points at the base and upright shoots.
The flowers are medium-sized, tubular, purple-hued with a red tint and a silvery-white throat, gathered in dense spike-shaped inflorescences. The flowering period lasts from the beginning to the end of summer, with potential repeat flowering.
