The variety has average indicators of initial development and tendency to flowering, as well as average lodging resistance. The plant forms a dense sward with pinnate leaves that provide good soil shading and possesses a deep, branched root system that contributes to humus accumulation.
The plant is used as a honey plant, the nectar productivity of which is comparable to rapeseed or buckwheat. The variety is neutral to nematodes, suitable for crop rotations with sugar beet, leaves a fine-crumbly soil structure, and easily winter-kills.
The seeding rate is 10–12 kg/ha, and up to 16 kg/ha for late sowing. Seeds are sown at a depth of 2 cm, as the variety belongs to crops that require darkness for germination.
