The variety is the result of crossing Phal. Jiuhbao Victoria and Phal. Chian Xen Mammon. Clone CX339 is characterized by high uniformity of shape and contrasting flower coloration.
The plant is a tetraploid with a chromosome set of 2n = 4x = 76. It is used in breeding as a parental form for creating new hybrids, with a specific tendency toward chromosome elimination observed in its progeny.
CX339 represents a specific clone within a hybrid group, in which other clones are also registered, for example CX351 and CX367.
