Under the name Phalaenopsis Yang Yang Dragonfly appears a fragrant hybrid whose genetics include Phalaenopsis lueddemanniana, violacea, and tetraspis species. In turn, the name Phalaenopsis Red Dragonfly is used as a commercial designation for compact plants, often peloric forms with a flower size of about 4.5 cm.

For this name, there is no single agronomic passport describing height or disease resistance. Since the name is applied to a number of different hybrids, it does not possess botanical uniqueness in the breeding sense.
