The plant has a medium-sized habit with oblong oval leaves. The flower stalk is solitary, racemose, of medium length, carrying on average about 7 flowers.

The flower diameter is about 10 cm. The color is complex: a combination of purple, violet, and yellow shades; the dorsal sepal is purple with shades of yellow and purple-violet, with spots and stripes. The petals are semicircular, flat in cross-section.
