The hybrid reaches a height of 30–35 cm. The flowers have a diameter of 3.5–4 cm. There are peloric forms and varieties with variegated foliage, which are classified as Variegata or Leaf's Edge.

The name Vivian or Vivien is often used as a shortened or marketing name for the Sogo Vivien hybrid, as well as a commercial designation for floral arrangements consisting of several orchids.
