The plant is a bush bean variety, distinguished by vigorous growth and high productivity. The pods are flat in shape and light-green in color; each contains 5 to 6 seeds. The seeds are white with a red spot at the hilum, visually resembling eagle wings.
The variety belongs to the shell bean types. The crop is valued for the tender texture and thin skin of the seeds. Historically, the variety is associated with the Italian regions of Abruzzo and Tuscany, and in European classification, it is often identified with the "Saint-Esprit à oeil rouge" variety.
