Caparrona or Caparrona de Monzón is a local landrace originating from the Monzón region, Spain. Historically, the variety was widespread, but by the end of the 20th century, it had almost disappeared due to displacement by new hybrids, after which efforts were made for its scientific recovery and preservation of line purity.

The seeds of the variety have an oval shape and a white color with a characteristic brown spot in the hilum area; the surface has a medium gloss. The plant is characterized as highly productive. The purpose of the variety is universal: consumption in dry form or at the green bean stage, with the product being positioned as a premium gourmet segment.
