Variety description

10 August 2026

The Cannellino variety, also known as Lingot, is a bush plant with a height of 45–60 cm. The growing period from emergence to harvest is 65–80 days. Each pod, which is green or greenish-yellow in color, contains 5–6 seeds.

The seeds of the variety are white. The produce is valued for its tender texture and is widely used in cooking, especially for preparing soups and salads. There are local varieties under the general name that differ in seed color, in particular Cannellino Nero and Cannellino Rosso.
