Carana is a bush variety of green bean. The plant forms long, round-section dark green pods that grow in clusters of 4–5 and are distinguished by high uniformity.
The variety possesses resistance to common bean viral diseases and bacteriosis, in particular to halo blight. The produce is suitable for freezing.
The crop is responsive to a warm climate and moderately moist soil. Sowing in open field is recommended from mid-May to July with a planting pattern of 50 cm between rows and 10 cm between plants.
The variety is listed in the national registry — its seeds are authorized for sale in this country.
