The variety belongs to the category of Slovenian landraces or breeding forms with a characteristic Andean phaseolin pattern. The plant is a climber, and the seeds have an elliptical shape.

The grain of the variety contains about 23.5 g of crude protein per 100 g of dry matter and is rich in essential amino acids. The biological value of the protein is evaluated taking into account changes after thermal processing.

In terms of agronomy, the variety is used as a grain crop and is valued as a highly competitive plant when grown in mixture with maize under organic farming conditions.
