The variety was derived from the traditional local variety 'Tavella Brisa' as an improved inbred line to obtain quality certification for the La Garrotxa region. The plant belongs to growth types I and II; it is prone to lodging when grown without support, which complicates mechanized harvesting.
The plant's flowers are white, and immature pods have a purple tint, which changes to white upon ripening. The seeds are white, small, with a weight of about 25 g per 100 seeds. The variety is considered a benchmark for conducting research on the culinary and organoleptic characteristics of beans.
