The variety is a "mangetout" type bush bean, lacking a parchment layer and fibers at a young age. The pods are green in color, the seeds are solid black with a thousand kernel weight of 280 to 430 g.
In genetic research, the variety serves as a differential host for identifying strains of bean common mosaic virus. The variety shows resistance to some strains of this virus, but is characterized by susceptibility to bacterial blight.
This variety is intended for consumption at the immature pod stage.
