The variety was selected during genealogical breeding of local Breton bean varieties. The plant belongs to the bush form, is distinguished by medium to high vegetative mass and white flowers. In terms of maturity, it is characterized as a late or very late variety.

Goanag produce is valued for its sweet taste, thin seed coat, lack of mealiness after cooking, and "melting" texture. The beans are suitable only for sale in fresh form at the semi-mature stage and meet the requirements of the AOP protected designation of origin specification.
