Variety description

10 August 2026

Under the name Marconi, two morphological plant forms are presented: climbing varieties (typical Marconi or Supermarconi) reach a height of 2–2.5 meters and require supports, while dwarf varieties (Marconi Nano) grow to 25–60 cm and do not need supports. The varieties are of Italian origin and belong to the green bean type.

The pods have a flat and wide shape, their length varies from 12 to 28 cm. The fruits are distinguished by a fleshy and tender structure, remaining free of coarse fibers even upon ripening. The group of varieties possesses a long fruiting period and high productivity.

Ripening times vary from early to mid-late: dwarf forms can mature in 53 days. The harvest is suitable for culinary processing, freezing, and canning. Given that Marconi is a trade name for a pod type, specific characteristics may vary among different seed suppliers.
