The variety is indeterminate (climbing) and is characterized by a late maturity group with a vegetative cycle of about 70 days. The pods are flat, long, and yellow, belonging to the 'mangiatutto' category, which allows them to be consumed whole. The seeds have a dark, predominantly black color.

This landrace is used as a vegetable bean for fresh consumption and is also suitable for canning. In scientific breeding programs, the variety was used as source material to develop bush varieties resistant to Bean common mosaic virus.
