The variety is the result of induced mutagenesis carried out by scientists at the Agricultural University in Plovdiv. In breeding work, it is valued for its resistance to damage by the bean weevil (Acanthoscelides obtectus Say), which makes it a significant material for crop immunity enhancement programs.

In the scientific community, the variety is actively used in in vitro experiments, including the study of plant regeneration processes and genetic transformation. In mutagenesis studies based on this genotype, changes associated with chlorophyll deficiency were investigated.
