Soleon belongs to the bush bean group of the 'wax' type with yellow pods. The variety is early-maturing and intended for industrial processing, in particular for the production of frozen vegetable mixes.

The variety possesses high resistance to bean common mosaic virus (BCMV, race Cl:1), anthracnose (races alpha, beta, delta, gamma, lambda) and halo blight (Pseudomonas savastanoi pv. phaseolicola, race 1, Psp 1, 2).
