The Stregonta variety belongs to the 'Borlotto' group and exists in two forms: bush and pole, with the pole form reaching 150–180 cm in height and requiring support. The ripening period is typically from 70 to 80 days.

Pods 15–20 cm long have a light cream or greenish background with bright red or purple stripes. The seeds are kidney-shaped or oval and are colored cream with red or purple streaks.

The variety is of the shelling type and is intended for grain production, which is consumed fresh, dried, or frozen. At early stages, it is possible to harvest young pods for whole consumption. It possesses high resistance to Bean common mosaic virus.
