The Tangra variety belongs to the determinate bean type. The plant forms deep green pods, and the seeds have a spotted brown color. The variety is characterized as early-maturing: pods reach market maturity 10–13 days earlier than standard varieties.

The variety possesses complex resistance to a number of diseases and pests. An important characteristic is its tolerance to the bean weevil (Acanthoscelides obtectus Say), which allows the variety to avoid adverse climatic conditions during the summer period.
