Witte Krombek is a low-growing bush plant. Its seeds have an elongated narrow kidney or oval shape and are cream-white in color, sometimes with a greenish tint; the thousand kernel weight is about 445 grams. Pod length varies from 13 to 16 cm.
The variety is late-maturing: when sown in May, the harvest is collected in September. The product is used primarily as dry beans for preparing soups, stews, and salads. Historically, the variety is a local Dutch landrace originating from the northern part of the North Holland province.
