Wstęga is a dwarf bush bean variety with a compact habit, reaching a height of 40–60 cm and not requiring support. The ripening period varies from 60 to 80 days, classifying the variety as mid-early or mid-late.
The fruits are of the Mammoth type: these are wide (1.8–2 cm) flat pods 12–15 cm long. They have an intensely yellow color, a buttery texture, and are fiberless. The variety shows tolerance to bacteriosis and anthracnose.
The plant is used for fresh consumption, canning, and freezing. The name "Wstęga" is also used as a variety type designation for other varieties with similar characteristics of flat yellow pods.
