The variety is an interspecific hybrid obtained by crossing Phlox stolonifera and Phlox subulata. The plant possesses vigorous growth and has a spreading foliage form, typical for groundcover species.
The flowers of the variety are dark purple, with characteristic bright eyes. The plant is characterized by early and prolonged flowering, as well as good tolerance to high temperatures and humidity. Resistance to powdery mildew is stated in the official documentation, however, instances of infection with fungal diseases were recorded in field trials.
The right is granted for a limited term: propagation of the variety requires a license from the rights holder.
