The plant is a compact shrub ranging from 60–90 cm to 1.5 meters in height. The leaves have a creamy-yellow or cream color with wide dark green margins. In summer, the variety produces tall flower stalks bearing tubular reddish or golden-yellow flowers.
The variety is hardy and relatively resistant to wind, coastal conditions, and short-term drought. The plant belongs to USDA hardiness zone 8, withstanding temperatures down to -10°C; in harder frosts, it requires protection. It is used primarily in group plantings, borders, and container gardening.
