The plant is characterized by a compact growth habit and the ability to form very dense clumps. Leaves are short, upright, dark purple, almost black in color. During the summer period, it forms tubular flowers of a dark red-burgundy shade.
The variety is intended for use in modern landscape design; it is suitable for cultivation in containers, tubs, and for creating compositions and mass plantings in open field. The plant prefers sunny spots or partial shade and grows well in well-drained, moderately fertile soils.
