Variety description

The variety has a cushion-shaped, flattened crown with a characteristic depression in the center, which is due to the absence of a distinct central leader and the fan-shaped growth of side shoots. The adult plant reaches 1–1.5 m in height with a crown diameter of up to 2.5–3 m.

The needles are short (up to 1 cm), dense, and dark or light green in color, with spring growth being lighter than the main background. The variety is characterized by slow growth, amounting to about 3–4 cm in height and 5–8 cm in width annually.

The plant has high frost resistance, withstanding temperatures down to –34...–40°C. It is demanding regarding moisture and soil composition, preferring fertile, drained loams or sandy loams. Under the weight of snow, the crown can fall apart, so it is recommended to tie the branches in winter.
