The variety belongs to the semi-leafless type and is intended for use as a forage crop. The parent form used in breeding the variety was the Bohatyr pea. During the selection process, the er-1 powdery mildew resistance gene was introduced into the plant.

The plant demonstrates high lodging resistance, surpassing a number of control varieties in this indicator, such as Trapper and 40-10. The variety is characterized by productivity in terms of grain mass and total biomass, while the seeds have a small size.

The variety name appeared in grain crop trials in the late 1990s and early 2000s. The variety was also used in scientific research as a model for genetic transformation.
