The pea variety named Eden is mentioned in international DUS testing documents as a reference variety susceptible to Fusarium wilt caused by Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. pisi race 1. The name also appears in lists of studied samples in agronomic variety trials, including 2024 reports.

The name Eden is often used as a trade name in various fields, including ornamental plants, which may lead to confusion. No confirmed data has been found that this variety was bred by Maribo Seed Int. Aps, as the main specialization of this company is sugar beet.
