Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety is a semi-leafless plant with an average stem length of about 70.3 cm. Stipules have normal development and a medium degree of waxiness. Flowering occurs at mid-early dates, flowers are white, and two flowers are formed per node.

Pods are green, pointed or blunt in shape. Seeds are egg-shaped, medium-sized, and have a smooth surface without wrinkles; the hilum is light-colored. The variety is mid-season, used as a grain pea, and shows susceptibility to Fusarium wilt.

The name is also used to refer to a sugar pea variety for fresh consumption, which differs from field grain peas and requires warmed soil for germination.
