The vegetable pea variety IZK-Musala is classified as early-maturing. It is suitable for canning and processing purposes, while a certain degree of tolerance to salt stress was noted during agronomic trials.

Morphologically, the variety is characterized by the presence of a long stem. The variety name is common in Bulgarian breeding and may lead to confusion with the triticale variety of the same name.
