The variety is an F5 line selected via the pedigree method from the hybrid population F91-608/F93-1877. The absence of leaflets in this plant type facilitates the mechanized harvesting process.
Plants reach a height of 60–85 cm. The variety is characterized by tolerance to water stress, but shows sensitivity to anthracnose caused by the fungus Didymella pinodes, although the use of fungicides reduces the incidence of infection in crops.
