The PA0826 variety is an early-maturing vegetable pea. Plants reach a height of about 60 cm, have a normal leaf type, and form pods in pairs. Each straight, blunt-ended pod matures an average of 7 medium-sized seeds.
Due to the presence of recessive alleles r and rb, the conversion process of sugars into starch is slowed down, which ensures a sweet taste for the seeds. The variety possesses high resistance to Bean yellow mosaic virus and races 1 and 2 of Fusarium wilt, as well as moderate resistance to downy mildew.
The variety is intended primarily for canning and freezing.
