The variety «Omega» (or «Omega Øtofte») is characterized by rapid initial development compared to smooth-stalked meadow grass. It possesses the ability to grow on moist soils, which is a common trait of this plant species.
During field trials on pastures, the variety demonstrated relatively low yield in the first year of vegetation. Insufficient durability of the crop in subsequent years of exploitation was noted, which limits its possibilities for use in turf mixtures.
