The variety is the result of breeding the øtofte strain. During trials from 1959 to 1964, the variety was used as a standard sample for evaluating other varieties of the species Poa trivialis.
In productivity studies within grass mixtures with white clover, the variety showed relatively low dry matteryield in the first year of use and low persistence in the sward in subsequent years under regular mowing.
