The variety is a spontaneous mutation. The plant forms a dense clump. The main decorative focus is on the foliage, which retains its attractiveness throughout a long season.
The lavender-blue flowers have a cup shape and are gathered in loose drooping inflorescences. The flowering period falls in late spring and the summer months. The plant prefers partial shade, moist and well-drained soils, demonstrating high winter hardiness in a wide range of climatic zones.
