The variety belongs to the late ripening group; harvesting occurs in the second to third ten-day period of August. The tree is characterized by vigorous growth, exceeding the indicators of a number of other varieties in terms of trunk cross-sectional area.

The fruits possess commercial qualities suitable for sale. Breeding work on the variety included objectives to increase winter hardiness and resistance to shot hole disease (Stigmina carpophila) and Cytospora canker (Cytospora cincta).
