The variety is a local folk selection obtained on an old farm in the town of Inca on Mallorca. The name of the variety comes from the toponym of its place of origin.
Currently, the variety is being studied and preserved within the framework of regional programs for the restoration of fruit crop biodiversity. Detailed agronomic characteristics or industrial productivity indicators are not described in open publications.
