The name Cuore refers to old local varieties found in various regions of Italy, such as Tuscany and Campania. These forms are protected in regional germplasm banks as endangered objects.
The name reflects the heart-shaped form of the fruits, however, different local forms may be hidden under it. Italian sources characterize such plants as undemanding and productive, noting their suitability for both fresh consumption and processing.
1 jurisdiction
Green indicates countries where the variety is listed in the national catalogue and its seeds are authorized for sale. Expired registrations are marked separately: the variety was previously admitted, but sale is no longer permitted.
