The name Cupeta is the folk name for a variety widespread in Apulia. The variety belongs to the late maturity group: fruits ripen in the period from the third ten-day period of May to the first ten-day period of June.
The fruits have a sweet taste and very firm, crunchy yellow-orange flesh, which adheres tightly to the pit. The pit is of medium size and elliptical in shape. The tree is characterized by high productivity.
This variety is a product of folk selection and is intended primarily for fresh consumption. In the modern agronomic sense, the variety does not have an official patent registration.
1 jurisdiction
Green indicates countries where the variety is listed in the national catalogue and its seeds are authorized for sale. Expired registrations are marked separately: the variety was previously admitted, but sale is no longer permitted.
