The rootstock has low vigor, providing trees with 40–50% less height compared to standard rootstocks, which allows for its use in intensive orchards. The plant has a compact, upright form and promotes earlier fruit ripening of the scion varieties.
The plant is resistant to white root rot and moderately resistant to root-knot nematodes, while showing sensitivity to crown gall. The rootstock has high tolerance to soil waterlogging and adapts well to heavy clay soils, demonstrating moderate resistance to calcareous soils, chlorosis, and salinity, as well as good tolerance to cold conditions.
