The variety was obtained through open pollination of a seedling derived from a cross between the varieties «Candor» and «Flordaprince». The variety is distinguished by a very early ripening period, which in the conditions of Murcia occurs in the first week of May, being one week earlier than the varieties «Zaibulo®» and «Plagold 5®».
The fruits have good size and an intense dark red skin color. In agronomic practice, the variety is typically grafted onto rootstocks such as «Garnem®». Studies have shown that using an intermediate rootstock (interstock) of the almond variety «Garrigues» allows for a reduction in the risk of infection by the sharka virus.
