The Alice Bigi variety belongs to the peach subspecies nectarine. The fruits are characterized by large size and an attractive appearance with an intense red skin color.
The variety is early-maturing and shows stable productivity. Due to its ability to form adventitious shoots from callus tissue, it is widely used in biotechnological research for testing protocols for regeneration and genetic transformation of the peach.
The right is granted for a limited term: propagation of the variety requires a license from the rights holder.
