The variety is a dwarf form of nectarine with a compact bushy growth habit. The fruits have smooth skin with red overcolor, yellow juicy flesh, and a distinct aroma. The harvest period falls in July-August.
The plant is self-fertile and has winter hardiness down to -15 °C, however, when grown in pots in cold climates it requires protection from frost. The variety is used as an ornamental fruit crop and is often cited as a reference dwarf genotype for the classification of peach tree height.
