Durbin nectarine fruits are medium-sized, round-shaped, with bright yellow skin and a red blush. The flesh is golden-yellow, firm, juicy, with a predominantly sweet taste. The pit separates easily from the flesh, which classifies the variety as a freestone.
The tree is self-fertile and requires approximately 800–850 chill hours for normal development. The variety has moderate disease resistance, however, due to the lack of pubescence on the fruit, it is susceptible to Monilinia rot.
