The variety was obtained as a result of the work of breeder René Monteux-Caillet, who was engaged in the hybridization of stone fruits in the Crau region of France since 1982. The plant is included in the professional assortment of stone fruits and is registered in the official French catalogue of varieties.
Technical characteristics of the variety are recorded in the documents of international organizations UPOV and CPVO dedicated to variety testing. According to these data, the plant is characterized by a campanulate flower type and a very sparse density of flower buds on the shoots.
