The variety belongs to the species Prunus persica and is a smooth-skinned variety of peach. It was bred by the French breeding company Agro Selection Fruits for commercial cultivation and the sale of fresh fruit.
The fruits of the variety have an attractive appearance with a high percentage of red skin coloration. The trees are characterized by production qualities, including resistance to a number of common stone fruit diseases.
