The variety is an old local form (landrace) originating from the Poysdorf region in Austria. The plant is characterized by a spreading crown and is low- to medium-growing. The fruits have light pubescence and dark red or burgundy skin color. The flesh is white-cream or green-cream, with a possible raspberry-red tint near the stone; the texture is fibrous and juicy.
The maturity period occurs from late August to mid-September. The variety shows high resistance to powdery mildew and leaf curl. Winter hardiness is high; trees withstand frosts down to -25...-27 °C, while flower buds also demonstrate good resistance to cold. Since this is a historical group, characteristics may vary depending on the clone or generation.
